At CMN we acknowledge that our people are central to the success of our business and we are committed to making a positive contribution to our communities.

Through our Corporate Social Responsibility program, we are committed to:

  • ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our people
  • providing a work environment in which our people are empowered, motivated and productive in an innovative and collaborative culture
  • promoting diversity and inclusion and a culture of acting ethically and with integrity.

We value the economic, social and cultural contribution of our Indigenous community and actively seek to employ and work with Indigenous peoples and suppliers, or those who purchase from Indigenous suppliers.

Pro bono

CMN has a long and successful history of providing pro bono legal services, which is vital to our firm’s culture. By providing pro bono services, our team gives back to the community by making a genuine difference for clients. The firm’s commitment has been realised through more than 10,000 legal aid and pro bono cases over the past three decades.

Environmental Responsibility

CMN recognises the importance of minimising the environmental impact of our operations and is committed to sound environmental practices as part of our broader commitment to corporate social responsibility, while actively seeking to reduce the negative impacts of our business on the environment.

As a provider of legal services our overall environmental footprint is relatively small. Where possible, we aim to minimise our use, and maximise our re-use of resources.

CMN is proud to partner with Pathzero to measure our carbon footprint and reduce our impact on the environment. Through this partnership we sponsor the Mount Sandy Conservation project. The Mount Sandy project ensures permanent protection for a regionally and culturally important pocket of biodiversity-rich land in partnership with its Traditional Owners.

Sustainable Procurement

We are committed to monitoring our environmental, social and economic impacts of our purchasing decisions at CMN.  We seek to purchase products that:

  • minimise greenhouse gas emissions
  • maximise sustainability
  • utilise recycled content in production
  • are recyclable
  • are sourced from producers and/or suppliers with a proven record of environmental management.

We also seek to work with suppliers who:

  • provide an assurance that no form of abuse or exploitation is permitted in their supply chain
  • offer fair trade products
  • are indigenous suppliers or purchase from indigenous suppliers.

We are a proud member of Supply Nation. Supply Nation facilitates connections between Indigenous businesses and members’ procurement departments.

At Craddock Murray Neumann we continually seek ways to improve on our contribution and commitment to being a socially responsible firm.
