As a provider of legal services, CMN does not have high risk factors for the environment. However, CMN is conscious of its environmental footprint and our approach to sustainability is set out in our D0021 Environmental Policy and D0021A Environmental Initiatives and Objectives 2021.
Our objectives for 2020/2021 include:
CMN is proud to be a carbon neutral business through our involvement with Pathzero.
Pathzero uses innovative and smart technology to help CMN measure our carbon footprint and reduce our impact.
Going carbon neutral means removing as much CO2 and other greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere as CMN emits. Once our footprint is measured, Pathzero purchases the required amount of verified carbon credits to offset our emissions from a certified carbon offset project through its partnership with South Pole.
Nestled between the Coorong National Park and Lake Albert in South Australia, Mount Sandy protects one of the last pockets of bush and wetlands in the region. The project brings together non-Indigenous and Indigenous Australians by promoting land conservation using methods that have been employed by Traditional Custodians, the Ngarrindjeri people, for millennia. The project ensures permanent protection for a regionally and culturally important pocket of biodiversity-rich land in partnership with its Traditional Owners.
